Seville w/ Rocío Millán

01 rocio intro

Rocío will help us discover a magical Seville, almost enchanted, lit up by the Christmas elf that makes it even more special. We stroll through her favourite spots and talk about life, how to dress at Christmastime and the Christmas spirit that she has loved for as long as she can remember.

“I was born in Seville 23 years ago and I've lived here my entire life because it is where I feel at home. I LOVE spending time with my family and I see myself as being someone who is sensitive and transparent. I'm currently juggling my studies in Business Administration and Management with creating digital content. I've been passionate about fashion ever since I was a little girl when I used to spend hours rummaging through my wardrobe trying to come up with new looks.Creating this article has been a pleasure”

“It all goes back ten years when my aunt, owner of the multi-brand boutique Nanda, here in Seville, started selling eseOese. The shop opened its doors more than 20 years ago and has always stood out for selecting a wide range of very special brands. eseOese is one of the brands they flies off the shelves!

My mother is responsible for selecting the jewellery, my aunt the clothing collections and I manage the content and run the social networks.... everything has a family vibe and brings us closer together day after day.”

“We Seville folk often say that we have the most beautiful city in the world, and it's true! There is nowhere like Seville. I walk everywhere, listening to a podcast and taking everything in, it's a privilege; the atmosphere, the people and the buzzing life on the streets is contagious.”

1. Strolling through the María Luisa park on Sundays on your own.

2. Getting lost among the narrow streets of Santa Cruz.

3. A few glasses of wine in Trifón or in La Bodeguita Romero (the traditional ones)

4. An ice cream on calle San Jacinto (my favourite) while strolling across the Triana Bridge.

5. Having a drink on the terrace of the Hotel Doña María (there's still nothing quite like it).

“Christmas is a time for getting dressed up and there is nothing I love more. It makes things even more special. I love outfits or a black skirt below the knee with a special blouse and a good heel; high heels are always the best.”

What is eseOese for you?

I identify 100% with the brand. Collections suitable for mothers and daughters alike, easy to combine, perfect wardrobe staples. I discovered eseOese because I used to steal my mother's jumpers... and now she's the one who steals mine, hahaha...

Your favorites?

I list my 4 favourites: the satin set from the Christmas collection, the printed midi skirt, the chocolate brown wool coat and the knee-high boots. They are the type of clothes that go well with everything and will spruce up your look.

The satin outfit would be what I would wear to any Christmas dinner, it's very flattering and really elegant. The skirt, day or night, with flat boots or trainers (I love it). And the coat and boots set is really special; love at first sight.

Your style?

My style has changed over the years and it depends on my mood. It's usually quite a classic look but I love taking risks as long as I feel 100% comfortable.

I try to look elegant while mixing formal or more special garments with jeans or trainers. Comfort with the odd exception; as I like to say, “to look great you have to suffer a little” hahahah

I like to dress up and feel special in what I wear. As I've gotten older, I've learned that less is more and I place much greater importance on quality.
